Memories of long ago
Wow, how old is this?   If you're not sure, just check the price - 8 1/2 pence.   We (in Australia) changed to decimal currency in 1966.  This actually belonged to my mother, but I "inherited" it a few years ago.   Maybe I thought I'd like to crochet some d'oyleys.  Who knows, maybe I will one day.

More mangled English
In an Acapulco hotel:  The manager has personally passed all the water served here.

Detour sign in Japan:  Stop - Drive Sideways.

In a Greek tailor's shop:  Order your summers suit now.  Because it is a big rush, we will execute customers in strict rotation.
